how the tank runs
Club Rules
Last reviewed: this season.
These are the house rules for the venue. Booking a station or stepping onto the floor means you're happy to swim by them. None of it should surprise you — it's the same easy courtesy that keeps thirty stations, one panoramic window and everyone in the room running smoothly together.
Hours & booking
The floor opens daily with day, evening and deep-night tides, and runs latest on the weekend. Reserve ahead through the booking form or walk in when a seat is free. If plans change, tell us before your window starts and we'll release the station — you only ever pay for time on a seat, so a cancelled booking costs nothing but the heads-up. We hold a reserved seat for fifteen minutes past your start time before it goes back into the tank.
The showcase row & stations
- Sitting in the glass is always a choice — ask for the showcase row when you book, and you're never seated there by default.
- Every station runs the same rig; leave the mounts, cables and settings as you find them for the next player.
- Headsets and peripherals stay with the station — wiped between sessions, not carried off the floor.
- Bring your own keyboard, mouse or headset and plug into the front ports, then take it home with you at the end.
Conduct on the floor
Keep it easy for your neighbours in the water. Voice chat at a reasonable volume, headsets on for anything loud, and no leaning into someone else's session uninvited. Passers-by may watch the showcase row through the window — that's the whole idea — so play it kind in both directions. Competitive nights are about points and personal best times, never money on the line. There is no wagering of any kind at the venue, and anyone trying to arrange it will be asked to leave.
Food, drink & care
Lidded drinks are fine at any seat. Light snacks belong at the desks; anything messier is better handled away from the gear so the stations stay clean. Treat the hardware like it's yours for the hour — report a fault at the desk rather than wrestling with it, and we'll move you to another seat while it's sorted.
Liability
We keep the equipment maintained, the glass clean and the room in good order, but you play at your own comfort. Look after your belongings; the venue isn't responsible for personal items left on the floor. We may update these rules as the room grows — the current version always lives here.
